Use the RESOURCES below for practice in each area each day!
Have your supplies ready for Wednesday and Thursday's Zoom meetings with Mr. Dick.
You need a plain piece of unlined white paper, black Sharpie marker, regular markers, and a pencil. (Sharpies and felt markers work well for this, but you may use colored pencils or crayons instead. If you don't have unlined paper, you may use a piece of notebook paper instead)

9:00 am - 3rd-8th with Mrs. Dubois
10:00 am - 3rd-8th with Mr. Dick
9:15 am - High School with Mr. Dick
(Notice the time change for H.S. with Mr. Dick for Thursday!)

Daily English/LA Lessons- Complete One Activity Each Day
3rd-12th - Click HERE to visit Khan Academy English/Language Arts. Choose your grade level. The high school level is marked as 9th.
*Spend 15 minutes each day. Continue through the online English/LA lessons. The next time, just begin where you left off the previous time.
3rd-8th - Click HERE to view the Language Arts Review video.
*Spend 10 minutes of viewing time each day. (There are ads that pop up throughout the video. Skip those as soon as it allows so you can continue with the lessons.)

Students in 3rd and 4th graders might want to use the links listed below to find books to read this week. Older students should choose a book they can read throughout the week. Visits to the library are encouraged.
Visit Storyline Online. "The Storyline Online site streams videos featuring actors reading children's books alongside creatively produced illustrations." The site is designed for younger students through 4th grade (but others might enjoy it too). The site has many different books to listen to.
Visit our EPIC! Online Library. The Epic! website is designed for students up through 5th grade. However, students in 5th-8th may use it, too. Students with an HVA account may use this resource during school hours for their reading time if they choose.
Parents: "Reading aloud to children has been shown to improve reading, writing, and communication skills, logical thinking and concentration, and general academic aptitude, as well as inspire a lifelong love of reading."

Visit Typing Club to get started.
*Practice 10 minutes each day. Practice using proper hand placement on the keyboard. Work to improve your keyboarding skills. You might find it helpful to begin with the pretest. After you click the get started button, you will see the pretest option pop up. You may choose to begin there if you would like. Remember to practice typing without looking at your hands to help you learn to properly use the keyboard
3rd-12th -

Remember to do activities that help increase your heart rate while you are working out. If you need exercise ideas, click the link below to choose video workouts to use for class time.
